By now, it is probably no surprise to anybody that people in the “developed world” eat far to much. The average size of a plate of food in a restaurant is 4 to 6 times larger than a recommended portion size. We have also become accustomed to finishing whatever is put in front of us. I remember as do all of us my parents and grandparents telling me that my eyes were bigger than me belly and the all to uncomfortable feeling in my tummy soon after that they were right.
