In medical terms obesity is a condition in which excess body fat has accumulated to the extent that it may have an adverse affect on health.
The ill effect of obesity includes:-

The primary and basic treatment which is possible at home is physical exercise, dieting, weight loss programs, medication and clinical protocol.
If needed some supplements can be taken as anti-obesity drugs to reduce appetite or inhibit fat absorption. In very severe cases, surgery is performed or an intragastric balloon is placed. This is to reduce stomach volume and bowel length, leading to earlier satiation and reduced ability to absorb nutrients from food.
