Chiggers are in fact sub-developed Red Mite in one of the first stages in their life, the larvae stage (the actual stages for the Red Mite are: eggs, larvae, nymphs and adults). “Chigger” it is also called a Harvest mite or a Scrub mite, so from this fact, people can confuse them and their actions and the specific reactions.
