In medical terms obesity is a condition in which excess body fat has accumulated to the extent that it may have an adverse affect on health.
The ill effect of obesity includes:-
* It reduces life expectancy.
* Increase health problem.
* Increase the likely hood of various diseases.
1. Heart disease
2. Type 2 diabetes
3. breathing difficulties during sleep
4. certain type of cancer
5. Osteoarthritis.
Basic reason and cause of obesity:-
* Excessive dietary calories
* Lack of physical activity
* Genetic susceptibility
Also there are some rare cases which cause obesity are:-
* Genes
* Endocrine DISORDERS
* Medications
* Psychiatric illness
Slow metabolism and in addition all these causes and reasons are supported by over eating habit.
The primary and basic treatment which is possible at home is physical exercise, dieting, weight loss programs, medication and clinical protocol.
If needed some supplements can be taken as anti-obesity drugs to reduce appetite or inhibit fat absorption. In very severe cases, surgery is performed or an intragastric balloon is placed.
